Just switch between 2 sheets, which you can do for about 2 weeks until it's time to use new sheets.

However, I've been needing to replace this daily, so it will barely cover the first week! Works but not waterproof 4 out of 5 stars. It certainly lightens a bit if you wear it overnight. I gave in and tried it 4 months after my stitches came out because my scar was always red and irritated. Since stitches it became raised, dark, red, and hard no matter how much moisturizers I used or how often I massaged the spot. The scar site is smaller, no longer red or itchy, the darkness faded a little. I tried very hard not to mess with my scaraway sheet once applied and washed it really well whenever I needed to.
It lasts about 8 days for me. The box says days. I kept it on most of the day and night and only taking it off to shower or clean the sheet. It stays on pretty well by itself for me but I feel like it helps when I add a bandaid to keep it secure to make the sheet last longer.
